perimenopause and Menopause Nutritionist
Nutrition guidance for the menopause transition—from someone who gets it.
Perimenopause changes how your body responds to food, to stress, and to the routines that used to work. You’re not starting over. You’re adapting. And with the right guidance, you can navigate this transition and maintain your health, your energy, and your footing.
You’ve spent decades taking care of your body, and now it’s asking for something different.
The fatigue that coffee can’t touch. The 3 a.m. wake-ups that have become routine. The weight settling around your midsection that appeared out of nowhere and won’t budge no matter what you do. The moment in a meeting when a word you’ve used a thousand times simply vanishes. The unsettling sense that the body you’ve lived in for decades has changed the locks and won’t let you back in.
You’ve Googled. You’ve tried the apps, the telehealth platforms, the generic meal plans. Maybe you got a prescription, maybe you didn’t, but either way, you still don’t feel like yourself. You want to feel strong again, confident again, comfortable in your own skin again.
You’ve done enough diets to last a lifetime. You need someone who will actually listen, who understands the science, and who sees you as more than a symptom list.
Perimenopause is a transition, not something to be afraid of.
Some call it a second puberty, and there’s truth in that. Your body is reorganizing itself, rewriting its own operating system. The difference is that the first time, someone acknowledged what was happening. This time, you’re mostly on your own.
You’re not imagining it. And you’re not alone, even though it can feel that way.
The passage isn’t easy. No one would choose the sleepless nights or the brain fog or the feeling of losing ground. But women who move through this chapter with intention emerge clearer, more grounded, more attuned to what they actually need.
You can come out of this with more energy, not less. More ease in your body, not less. More confidence in your own knowing.
That’s what I’m here to help you find.

What you’ll actually get from working with me

Real personalization
I research between sessions. Your questions don’t disappear when we hang up. I dig into the evidence and think about your situation to get tailored answers for you.

Science without overwhelm
I’ve spent nearly two decades translating complex health research into clear guidance. You’ll understand why we’re trying something, not just what to do.

Strength over restriction
We’re here to build a body that has energy for your actual life, one that can keep up with your ambitions, feels strong and capable, and fits like home again.

Respect for your history
You’ve tried things before. Some worked for a while, some didn’t. We’ll build on what you’ve learned about yourself, not start from scratch.

Studies show that women who receive nutrition support during menopause experience:

How we’ll get started
Discovery Call
A free 20-minute conversation to see if we’re a good fit. You’ll share what’s going on; I’ll ask some questions. No pressure, no pitch, just an honest conversation about whether I can help.
Assessment
We start with a comprehensive intake: your health history, your goals, what you’ve tried, and what your life actually looks like. This is where I start to understand you as a whole person!
Ongoing Support
We meet as often as makes sense for you, weekly, biweekly, or monthly, and adjust as we go. Between calls, I’m researching your questions and you have direct access to me for support.
Meet Mia, Your Menopause Nutritionist
I’m a Certified Dietitian Nutritionist with a Master of Science in Nutrition from George Mason University. For the past four years, I’ve worked as a behavioral science researcher and evidence synthesist. I know how to read a study, spot the limitations, and figure out what the evidence actually supports, not just what the headlines claim.
But my path to this work is personal.
I experienced premature ovarian insufficiency, early menopause, and it reordered my understanding of what my body needed. I felt blindsided, under-informed, and dismissed by providers who didn’t take my symptoms seriously.
I created Elderflower Nutrition to offer what I wished I’d had: a knowledgeable guide who treats this passage as significant, who respects both the science and your lived experience, and who believes you deserve to feel good in your body during this chapter, not just survive it.
You’re not going back. You’re moving forward.
Stronger. Calmer. More confident. More attuned to what your body actually needs. That’s who is on the other side of this transition. Let’s start fueling the woman you are becoming.
